Cheap laser devices and eyewear that may not meet Australian Standards are readily available online, posing a risk to health and safety.
Laser Safety Compliance Australia was founded by Oliver Ried, an optometrist with a Bachelor of Vision Science, a Master of Optometry and a Graduate Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
